The Board of Ethics was appointed by the Town Board in November, 2021 to administer and periodically review and recommend revisions to the Town Code of Ethics. The Board of Ethics has five volunteer members:

The members of the Board of Ethics serve three-year terms.
On October 13, 2022, the Town Board adopted Local Law # 2 of 2022, which enacted the revised Code of Ethics proposed by the Board of Ethics. The revised Code of Ethics can be found at Code of Ethics.
The Code of Ethics sets forth standards of ethical conduct for Town employees and officers, including elected and appointed officers of Town boards and committees, with particular emphasis on potential conflicts of interest and related issues. Under the Code, the Board of Ethics may receive and investigate complaints of potential violations from members of the public, as well as Town employees and officers. The Board of Ethics is also charged with training Town employees and officers and may render advisory opinions to employees and officers who seek guidance on compliance with their ethical responsibilities.
