Town Board Position Opening
Supervisor Florence Prisco has announced that the Town Board is accepting letters of interest to fill the unexpired term of Councilman Rappleyea, who is resigning effective the end of 2008. Persons interested in the position must be 18 years of age and an elector and a resident of the Town of Washington. The individual must be available for Town Board meetings on the second Thursday of the month, as well as various other meetings throughout the year. The salary for the Councilperson position in 2009 is set at $4,120.00.
The Town Board is also seeking a community volunteer to fill a position on the Board of Assessment Review. Candidates would be required to attend a training class, as well as be available to hear grievances on the fourth Tuesday in May.
